Import Substitution of Middleware at Our New Partner "Med IT - Solutions"

The company "Med IT - Solutions" is the developer of the laboratory information system LabForce. LIS LabForce automates the processes of histological/cytological and microbiological studies, as well as clinical diagnostic laboratories.

Colleagues have implemented many projects in the largest National Medical Research Centers and other medical organizations throughout the country. Some projects were implemented in technological partnership with RusMedSoft LLC based on the Russian vendor-neutral Middleware Mitra.

The laboratory information system is implemented on the basis of the 1C platform. The company has its own expertise in developing drivers for integration with laboratory equipment, but until 2022 for connecting a number of devices it used the solution of the American developer company, vendor-independent Middleware Data Innovations. Following the restrictions imposed against the backdrop of sanctions policies of unfriendly countries, Data Innovations suspended the shipment of licenses for new connections and limited technical support for devices already in operation.

Middleware "Mitra" is a Russian analogue of Middleware from Data Innovations, among other things, developed on the basis of freely distributed software. The Mitra driver library today is only slightly inferior in quantity - 800+ connected devices against 1000+ declared by Data Innovations.
