Skolkovo resident has implemented a smart home platform for medical organizations

The decision of RusMedSoft, a resident of Skolkovo (Group WEB.RF), — the Middleware Mitra developer company, has been introduced into the work of the Point of Care medical co-working located in the Skolkovo Technopark.

Now data from tonometers, glucometers, thermometers and scales are automatically entered into the patient's medical record right during measurements at the medical visit, what saves the doctor's time for manual entry of these data, minimizes the possibility of clinical error and opens new opportunities for remote monitoring. Middleware "Mitra" can be installed directly on the physician's computer or laptop.

Alexey Remez, founder of Reztom, the operator of Point of Care medical co-working center, shared the concept of full digital data, which provides new opportunities for clinical practice.

Alexey Remez: “We aim at maximum automation and digitalization of all processes. For Point of Care it is not only the image of the clinic located in Skolkovo Technopark, but also the expansion of the list of services provided to our patients. We believe that any medical and medical equipment should transmit data to the MIS without human involvement. This is like the concept of a smart home, which opens up new opportunities for clinical practice. However, it turned out that such concept is still the future, not the present - practically nowhere in the world is it fully operational. Together with colleagues, we are introducing this approach into the routine of medical work - this is innovation.”

The clinic is supplied with a medical information system of its own design, as well as tools for long-term patient management and health-related risk management. An important element of the concept is the possibility of remote monitoring and increasing patients' adherence to doctor's prescriptions - this requires integration of medical and other equipment into the information system.
